  in the 1920's the watcthower had the "millions now living will never die".

  in the proclaimer's book there is a photo of a bible students book booth with a sign that said in large letters, "millions now living will never die!

  this is literally true.

  i know- you aren't used to seeing me ask a simple question like this.

  so- i'll start .

  i am 49 years old, will be 50 in october .

  Kind of a rather odd survey to be asking people, but again consider who's taking that survey and the results are not too surprising.

  The result numbers sound a bit fudged a bit if you know what I mean.

  therapist says affairs can help some/my marriage....really...

  well that took me back a bit...but since i have led a double life since third grade...i have become the master of compartmentalizing...and since my exit and since it is now not just to my parents (as a youth)...but now having to do it to my hardcore jw wife....well...it just gets frikkin easier and easier...i now think i am becoming capable of stuff i would have never dreamed of...this is scary.... i have decided i can afford it financially though i dread this at 47, since this is the second time i would lose half my assets....crap...and my wife is a wonderful lady!...hot even!...but i so want to grow and be totally free...damm the costs are so high...why cant i be content with a non-nagging jw wife?????.

  oh...and basically it seems that if certain needs (not just sex!

  ) need to be met...and your mate will never know...than it can help your marriage continue with no bad side effects???

  If this organization is being financially supported by Jews who are fighting against anti-semitism in Europe, wouldn't they deliberately try to seek

  and embellish a survey such as that ?

  Personally I think this economic down turn is a direct result of last years rising fuel prices.

  When one considers that all commodities are transported globally off of petroleum based products,

  the enormous jump in fuel energy costs had a stumbling effect of crippling companies profits.

  It had the effect of chopping too much profit from raw goods and companies therefore had no where to go but recede production.

  There was a similar economic situation similar to this back in the late 70's in an oil embargo orchestrated by OPEC

  resulting in a global recession in the proceeding years .

  Interesting enough crude is being sold right now 2/3 cheaper than it was just a few months ago, what happened to that supply

  and demand hearsay that the oil companies told us about when oil was trading at $140 a barrel, now oil is coming out all over the place

  and they can barely give it away...........corrupt assholes.

  My opinion now is that were going to have to endure a recession for at least a couple of years until the economies re-stabilize themselves

  and not until that happens are we going to start to climb back up to a healthy economic state globally.

  I guess what it comes down to Oompa is how much you value your existing marriage, breaking up this marriage has to weigh its

  self on that evaluation. I don't agree with that therapist suggestion that you have an affair with someone else while your marriage is in tact,

  that only would demean your own integrity and hurt your wife immensely, and I understand that she is a good woman just overly indoctrinated

  into her religious cult. Throw that therapist out the window, it sounds like he or she is trying to occur further damage into your

  life just so that you might come back for further appointments and cash in.

  Most people wont pull out of the JWS because they are frighten to, on so many levels and you should understand and accept that with your wife.

  Its a known fact that many marriages struggle badly with spouses on either side of the fence in regards to the JWS, but it is quite possible

  to maintain a healthy marriage if the partners accept one another in their beliefs systems, its just frustrating that your better half is not

  on your side of the fence. On the other hand if she is not adhering to her marriage vows and is intensionally holding off intimacy in the

  bedroom as a way of punishment and disrespect that again presents its own difficult problems and of course thats not so easy to override.

  With that in thought there is the day to day relationship and where that is, is it a wholesome and happy one or is it mostly miserable and

  contrived, loveless and disrespectful ?

  i spoke to an elderly sister, 94, who is deteriorating rapidly.

  she honestly believed she would never die.. obviously she is desperate to deny to herself that the cult she allowed to steal her one and only life a second at a time is still true.. "the generation change is just like 1975 - we were sifted.

  we were being tested as to who was serving jehovah for a date and those with unbreakable trust in the organisation he has appointed.".

  Regions are independently run on their own written rules and laws, thats conclusive to their own perceived power and control.

  Russell and whoever financially supported him exploited the the end time philosophies of the bible to help to propagate

  his literature which he was publishing, his background in sales was put to good use in this regard.

  He knew very well that there many bible believers in the public to exploit and bring attention to himself and his literature by using these doctrines.

  It really wasn't an original idea of his to do this , but perhaps after all the money he and others invested into Tower Publishing

  it was perhaps apparent he couldn't turn back. As it is today the end times prophecy is still the most highlighted doctrine of the JWS and

  its used extensively to cull followers to the orgaization.
